❤️ Heart-Focused Healing: HeartMath

HeartMath offers biofeedback tools that help you build resilience, manage stress, and balance your emotions. Ever wonder if you’re meditating ‘correctly’ or ‘doing it right’? HeartMath makes it easy, and ‘gamifies’ the process. Having your body, mind, and heart ‘synced’ up is a key to stress resilience. Consistent use is key but I’ve noticed a bump in my Heart Rate Variability since using it. Plus the whole family can benefit from use, even our 7 year old wants to do Heartmath before bed!
If you’re working on reversing disease dynamics, mastering stress is key — and HeartMath makes it measurable and doable.

Vagal Nerve Stimulator: Taking it to the Next Level with TruVaga!

I’ve been able to participate, ask questions and listen to presentations with the co-founder of Truvaga, Dr. Peter Staats and the author of Activating your Vagus Nerve, Dr Naviz Habib, which have been a really powerful learning opportunity and great reminder of the importance of this cranial nerve. I’ve had the privilege of being able to experiment with the Truvaga device as well. Truvaga is a Vagus Nerve Stimulator for home use. It works with your smartphone to turn ‘on’ and run a 2 minute session. Direct VNS (Vagus nerve stimulation) accelerates that shift from Sympathetic to parasympathetic. While doing exercises like gargling or cold therapy are awesome long term strategies, using something like Truvaga can speed things up.
It uses the same technology as an FDA approved medical device called Gammacore—same company makes both. Gammacore is FDA approved for use in migraines, but costs a lot more and is not usually covered by insurance right away.
Actually for migraines, the company recommends you can use this on the side of the headache for 2 sessions in a row to actually help treat the migraine–no pill needed! What a game changer!!
There’s essentially no side effect, the only people who shouldn’t use a Truvaga device are those with a pacemaker as there is a theoretical risk there. There are 2 versions of the Truvaga, one called Truvaga 350 and the Truvaga Plus. They work the same way, but the 350 version stops after 350 sessions, while the Plus version has unlimited amounts of sessions. I actually have the device in my office so active clients or curious newsletter readers in the area, can try it out before purchasing–just reach out! I’ve also been able to partner with the company to give my newsletter readers an exclusive discount! Just visit Truvaga.com and use the code HansenPlus ($30 off the Truvaga Plus) or Hansen350 (for $20 off the Truvaga 350). Again, the cool thing about devices like this is there is no subscription, it’s not a pill and it’s something you can do pretty quick to improve your long term health, what do you have to lose?!
