Welcome to Fall!
Food as Medicine: Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are a favorite fall vegetable that have numerous health benefits including blood sugar regulation (due to high amounts of fiber) resulting in hormone balance downstream, lots of vitamin A (the orange color), and vitamin C. I especially enjoy them roasted or sliced up for sweet potato hashbrowns–add garlic and some peppers, top with an egg for a delicious breakfast!
If you want to roast them, try peeling/dicing them, drizzle with avocado oil, salt and pepper and roast for ~25 minutes at 425 degrees, turning once. For more information on foods that help with hormone imbalance, check this article out!
